Ana Songel is an award-winning stop-motion director and animator based in Glasgow, Scotland.
Her work explores big feelings told through animated metaphors inspired by her own experiences, surroundings, and nature.
In 2020, she was selected by the micro-budget film scheme "Little Pictures" run by GMAC Film and Screen Scotland to make my first commissioned stop motion, I MISS HUGS, which screened in BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying film festivals. In 2022, the Screen Scotland and BFI Network-funded scheme Sharp Shorts commissioned her to make her second stop-motion short film 'Peace of Heart'(2024).
She also works as an interdisciplinary artist creating unique, fun, and colorful animation and miniature work for commercials, short films, and social media for local and international clients!
